Outreach - Serve

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

Jesus came not as a king but as a servant, and He was always concerned with the needs of other people over His own needs. The Bible says He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. Time and time again, he was moved with compassion when He saw their need. His great love for them compelled Him to respond to their need and ultimately to His death upon the cross.

We too, are called to serve and not be served. People are in need all around us. We are God's workmanship, created for good works that He has prepared in advance for us to do. We were made for this! We were made to touch the lives of those around us, inside and outside the church, with the love of Christ and with the truth of the gospel. We are always looking for ways that we can serve those in our community and beyond and are currently partnering with several ministries to serve those who are in need.

If you are interested in learning where you can serve outside the four walls of the church or if you have an idea about where or how we can serve together to meet a need, contact Don Duba or Katharine Tokosh.

Outreach Leader

Don duba

Don has served the church for over 10 years as a deacon and has gone on multiple mission trips to the nations. He was the leader of the usher & greeter ministry and men's ministry at church for years before he agreed to lead the outreach ministry. He was powerfully set free by Jesus, and because of what Jesus has done in his life, he has a passion for reaching those in need in the city, to see their needs met, and to see them set free from addiction and other strongholds in their lives. Service is God's love in action and prepares the heart to receive the seed of the gospel. Don heads up the outreach efforts outside of our church walls to touch the lives of those in our community and our city. He is working to establish relationships with other churches as well as existing outreach ministries that we can partner with, as he oversees our own outreach efforts. If you would like to be involved in outreach, contact Don.

Serve in our church

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

Each of us is part of the Body and we have been given unique gifts and talents to allow us to serve in the church as well as outside the church walls. Ephesians 4:16 says, "From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love." As we each do our share, working  together, it causes growth in the body. There is a place for your to serve here at West Fork. Click the button below to volunteer to serve.
