Our Vision, Mission, and Values
OUR VISION is to foster a diverse community of unified believers who share their lives and experiences. We aim to witness the salvation, healing, liberation, empowerment, and fulfillment of individuals as they discover and embrace their purpose in Christ. Through the transformative power of Christ, we envision a world where our community positively impacts and transforms its surroundings. We will achieve this vision by creating an interconnected family, diligently studying and applying the teachings of the Bible to all aspects of life, and empowering and releasing equipped believers to fulfill the Great Commission (Mark 16-15-18; Matthew 28:16-20) locally, regionally, nationally, and globally.
OUR MISSION is to Glorify God - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 , Grow in Knowledge - 2 Peter 3:17-18, and Gather the Harvest - John 4:35-38
We GLORIFY GOD as we come together to worship God through prayer, prophetic intercession, and worship, releasing the Word in prayer, song, prophecy, and teaching. We glorify God daily by bearing the fruit of righteousness as we demonstrate Christlikeness and love for the people around us.
We GROW IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD through daily discipleship as we share our lives together. The five-fold ministry gifts are in operation: teaching, imparting, and equipping the saints for the works of ministry. Each member of the Body functions in its unique gifting, building each other up in love. We become conformed to Christ's image as we apply the truth of His word to our lives from anointed teaching about the kingdom of God.
We GATHER THE HARVEST as we reach out to our community, our city, and the nations as we go about our daily lives and share the gospel and the love of Jesus with those we know and those we meet. We preach the gospel in "our" Jerusalem (city), Judea (nation), Samaria (our enemies), and the uttermost parts of the earth (the nations) through outreach and missions trips into these regions.
OUR CORE VALUES: Love, Faith, Humility, Honor, Forgiveness, Unity/Community, Equipping/Growth, Diversity, Integrity, Service, Creativity, and Generosity. These values serve as a compass for everything we do.
Convergence Church is a book of Acts church, Acts 2:42-47. It is an apostolic equipping center, where the five-fold gifts are in operation together, where people are discipled in the word of God, come to maturity in Christ, are equipped for the works of ministry, and are sent out. The river of God flows here, bringing life and healing to the broken as people from diverse backgrounds come together to glorify and worship God.
We accomplish the mission of Jesus as we love God and love people in our daily lives, sharing our lives together as a community of believers, touching our community, region, and the nations, sharing the gospel, and manifesting the kingdom of God through our lives.
