Equipping and Maturing Believers
"You therefore beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." 2 Peter 3:17-18
As we enter into a relationship with Christ after we receive Him as our Lord and Savior, we are just at the beginning of our journey, and we are to continue to grow in the knowledge of Him through prayer and communion with Holy Spirit and the study of His Word. Jesus command His disciples to go into all the world and make disciples and to teach them to obey all that He commanded them to do. (Matthew 28:19-20) The command was not just to make converts but to make disciples and teach them to do all that Jesus had commanded them to do. Jesus wants us to grow and mature as believers so that we become disciples who then make other disciples.
Ephesians 4:11–13 (NKJV) says: And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. So He gave us apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teaches to equip all the saints, believers, for the works of ministry, to edify (to instruct or improve morally or intellectually.) the Body of Christ and so that we grow in the knowledge of the Son of God and to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. That is our goal and command here at Convergence Church, to bring every believer to maturity, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
We have a clear discipleship path here to bring believers into deep knowledge and maturity. After receiving Jesus as their Savior, new believers will begin to be discipled either in the church or by the believer who led them to salvation through faith in Christ.
G.R.O.W. - Get Revelation, Obtain Wisdom - On Wednesday nights we meet in The Forge to GROW in the knowledge of God by getting revelation and obtaining wisdom as we study His Word and apply it to our daily lives. This is a time of shaping, forming, and sharpening, where iron sharpens iron, and deep relationships are forged. It is a place where hearts, minds, lives, and destinies are formed. This is a time of open discussion so we can dig deeply into the Word of God as we journey together toward maturity in Christ. We seek to move beyond mere head knowledge and to practically experience the truth of God's word impacting and manifesting in our lives until Christ is fully formed in us.
Living the Spirit-Formed Life - This class takes new believers through ten disciplines of the Spirit: Committing to Hear God's Voice, Living in the Power of Baptism, Celebrating the Lord's Table, Walking in a Spirit of Forgiveness, Feeding on the Word of God, Maintaining Integrity of Heart, Abiding in the Fullness of the Spirit, Living a Life of Submission, Practicing Solitude, and Living as a Worshiper. This strong foundation of faith and truth for new believers equips them to walk victoriously with Jesus through this world, to be His disciple, and to make more disciples and extend His kingdom.
In Christ's Image Training - Level I - This is a 6-month-long, higher-level training class that builds upon the foundation that has already been laid. The In Christ Image Training Level I class is from Francis Frangipane and In Christ's Image. We meet together weekly to dig deeper into the truth that God's Word. The goal is that Christ would be fully formed in us, as we discover what God's goal is for us and what it looks like to become like Jesus. This is a time of iron sharpening iron where each one shares their revelations and what they are gleaning from the teachings. The teachings are broken into 4 subsections, Christlikeness, Humility, Prayer, and Unity. These classes have been transforming and life-changing for those who have made the investment to take this class.
In Christ's Image Training - Level II - This is a 3-month long class where the student will become familiar with the unfolding aspects of New Testament ministry. Materials and impartation from Pastor Frangipane and other internationally known ministries such as Reinhard Bonnke, Mike Bickle, Ed Silvoso, Dutch Sheets, Rick Joyner, Lou Engle, Dick Eastman, Pat Chen, as well as a leader from the past: Andrew Murray.
Goals:
*Future classes are being developed and will be added on evangelism, prayer, prophesy, etc. as we seek to grow deeper and equip the body of believers more.
*For those wanting to join the Convergence Church, we have a Threshold Class that will teach everyone what the vision and beliefs are of the church so that you can make a decision if we line up with your vision and beliefs and you and your family wish to join our fellowship as members of the church.

- To broaden the disciple's experience with the various graces and expressions of God's anointing currently maturing in the body of Christ.
- To provide introductory avenues leading to further training and impartation from leaders beyond the ICIT structure.
