Grow in Knowledge

Recommended Reading List

"You therefore beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." 2 Peter 3:17-18

As we enter into a relationship with Christ after we receive Him as our Lord and Savior, we are just at the beginning of our journey, and we are to continue to grow in the knowledge of Him through prayer and communion with Holy Spirit and the study of His Word. Jesus commanded His disciples to go into all the world and make disciples and to teach them to obey all that He commanded them to do. (Matthew 28:19-20) The command was not just to make converts but to make disciples and teach them to do all that Jesus had commanded them to do. Jesus wants us to grow and mature as believers so that we become disciples who then make other disciples.

To help you on your journey to grow in your relationship with Christ and to mature as a believer, here are some books that have helped us grow and mature. They all offer something different, but they are each rich in their own way. They are not listed in any order to be read.  Look up the book and see what its focus is. If you want to grow in knowledge in that area, get it. We have a library at church, and some of these titles may be available to check out.
